We are animals trying to be civilized and unable to reach this goal. The animal instinct always wins over our seemingly controlled behavior. Due to this illusory process in the quest for civilization, more dangerous illusions develop in people’s minds, which can badly mess up their lives for some time to come or even on a more permanent basis.

What we offer to others is not always what we really are. Hence the misunderstandings. Take a party. Any party, let’s say a pre X-mas party. There are some of us who need a few drinks before they can start exhibiting, or at least trying to exhibit themselves on the dance floor, or even gathering the courage to start conversing with someone at the party. Happened to all of us witnessing such behavior, or perhaps we were the protagonist. Then there are others who force themselves to have a good time, although find it impossible to do so. The most ’dangerous’ kind is the one who think themselves very clever, they come up with their talents as actors (and actresses). This is the worse type of all, this is when the worse type of illusions can verify themselves for others following the actors’ carefully constructed verbal and/or physical lies, deceit and manipulation. It is also the most dangerous type of illusion because, if the individual is a good actor, their ’victims’ fall for it easily.

The problem with some of these good actors is that they don’t realize, or realize too late, that by getting so much into the habit of acting (because they think that this is the way fellow humans should be treated, i.e. in deceit and manipulation, as humankind does not deserve any better (?!)), in the end they behave like this with everyone and will consequently miss out on the opportunity to live an open, liberating and real relationship with friends, lovers, colleagues and family.

Their victims can overcome the illusion, or rather, disillusion, (most of them do), emerging from these experiences stronger than before (thank you very much), but the actors will never be able to experience something REAL, because they do not allow their body and soul to open up to that spiritual level, that would allow them to be themselves.
